What started as a bet between a guy named Ola and a guy named Jørgen has turned into that rarest of Web phenomena: A ‘crowdsourced’ site that isn’t Astroturfed, has a substantial following, and, most importantly, has a noble goal: Collecting one million pictures of giraffes by 2011. This is our friend Igor from Russia. He is home alone, and unlike Kevin McCallister, he is not happy about it. So he took some pictures of his house, trying to impress girls. Bryan Berg has launched an attempt to break his own Guinness World Record for the largest house of freestanding playing cards at The Venetian Macao, the world's largest resort-hotel. The attempt to build a replica of The Venetian Macao, The Plaza Macao, and Sands Macao buildings will use more than 190,000 cards and will take 44 days to complete.
